Tidsguiden (William Smith) is a non-binary composer, producer, and visual artist based in Caloundra, Queensland on Gubbi Gubbi country. Their work combines the electronic world of synthesisers and DAWs with the human world of drawing and animation. Together, in conjunction, the listener is transported to worlds of intense feelings and subtle truths.
Working across a range of styles, their work is diverse spanning multiple genres. Their output includes sound design and music on LJ Project's award- winning short film "Endless", arrangements of original work for wind ensemble and orchestra, as well as various chamber works and graphic scores performed locally and internationally. Their art has been displayed in local galleries, in exhibitions run as part of Meanjin's underground art scene.
