About The Bentleys 40 Under 40 Exhibition & Art Prize
After the widely successful 2020 40 Under 40 Exhibition which saw 450 people cram into the Butter Factory for the epic opening we hope to create both a fresh exhibition and opening that will rival the first. Amanda Bennetts, a local Artist and curator created this project to bring together young professional and emerging artists in one exciting show. Noosa has one of the largest number of artists per capita living in the shire (impressive huh!) however these tend to lend to an older demographic, and it can be a daunting scene to navigate for our younger artists. This exhibition aims to showcase our incredible talent to our community and help nurture a healthy younger art scene.
Our opening event is promised to be edgy AF! We are going for the anti-art opening vibe with a bar, art demonstrations, local bands, dancers, DJ, street food, and poets lined up for this mini arts festival to kick off the exhibition. We are excited to announce the addition of the 40 Under 40 Art Prize, which will see some of our most talented young artists awarded and recognised for their achievements in the arts.
Exhibition dates: 15th of January – 15th of February 2021.
This project was made possible by funding received from the Regional Arts Development Fund. The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Noosa Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
