Gabi uses charcoal and paints with oils to investigate the play of light and find a meditative connection. Painting has always been a passion for her, cultivated through study at the Adelaide Central School of Art where she immersed in The Atelier Method. The motivation for travel took her to a 3 month workshop at The Florence Academy of Art, leaning into still life painting. The experience allowed her to blend classical techniques with her own vision. Gabi’s contemporary practice explores oil painting techniques through object, portraiture and abstracts.
