"Apart of the reason I chose this type of expression is also why I'm terrible at artists bio's - the inability to define my identity. I can use the paint for so many things, to meditate, to display emotion, to let go of identity and find focus." Melancholy is second in Casey's series of glass self portraiture. It's self reflective and personal - let's you in but keeps you at an arms length. The use of white space and rounded corners displays a nostalgia for film and creates a window into the scene.
