Lahni Thorogood

Lahni has a deep family history with the town of Nambour and feels great love and comfort from her home town. Being born, raised and currently living there, she hunts the town's multitude of Op Shops for her projects. Some may classify her a hoarder, but there is a method to her intense collecting habit. She has always had an interest in making things with found objects. Rarely buying materials new, she uses her imagination to transform the things we usually throw in the bin into something inspired. Her love for creating miniatures began in childhood, wanting her Barbie Dolls to have books to 'read' and beds to 'sleep in'. Lahni believes that the skill of reusing throwaway materials for creativity is one that everyone could benefit from.
