Krista Gardner

I am a Caloundra West-based artist, and I work primarily in oil paints. I graduated from Griffith University Queensland College of Art in 2016 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours. Currently, I have been focusing on contemporary landscapes, exploring the intricate relationship between place and perception. My recent series has been inspired by visiting Gardner Falls on the Sunshine Coast. Along the running water, opposite the path, there was a heavily packed landscape of trees and shadows. In these current works I have sought to capture the essence of this visual experience by offering small glimpses into the complex landscape.
