Edwin Hamill

A Sunshine Coast based artist with a bachelors in fine art from QCA, specialising in vibrant depictions of scenes and characters. I've always been interested in portraying the way I see the world on canvas and conveying the absurdity of what makes it up. In this current series through the use of geometric shapes mostly triangles I strive to indicate a shattering of the landscape, I have abstracted the contours of the scene into what I call my "joyous shards".Often times I've found simplicity in depiction is the strongest way to convey a viewpoint, so I found the breaking down of scenes to represent a joyful moment or a nostalgic meet up the most fitting approach for my current works
