Brandi Hughes

Brandi Hughes is a fine art painter based on the Sunshine Coast (Gubbi Gubbi country), Queensland. Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, she relocated to Australia in 2014 after a serendipitous encounter with her now husband. Working from her home studio, Brandi creates bold, playful paintings that celebrate everyday and nostalgic objects.Since establishing her practice, Brandi has been selected for several art prizes and has developed strong relationships with galleries representing her from Sydney to Noosa. Her work has been featured in ART EDIT magazine, and she was recently photographed and interviewed for the Sunshine Coast Council’s Arts Coast project, further affirming her position as an exciting emerging voice within the contemporary Australian art scene.
