Tia Carrigan

Tia’s background is growing up on sheep property north of Moree NSW, west of Goondiwindi QLD, painting anything she could get her hands on. Tia’s art started out as a way to bring joy to herself and to others, providing the opportunity to bring colour to a sometimes bleak landscape and creating smiles on stressed faces. Subsequently, horse troughs, farm vehicles and the shearing shed were covered in brightly painted flowers.

Fast forward to January 2016, and Tia revisited this notion of creating smiles by opening a retail shop in the Sunny Coast town of Pomona, combining her art studio with a florist! She has been operating a small, successful business selling her acrylic on canvas artworks (including via a website and social media), completing commissioned work and exhibiting in local group shows. Tia’s art is vibrant and colourful and feature mostly birds and florals with repetitive patterns, bold, strong line-work combined with a sense of movement and freedom.

Tia’s goal for her art career is to be selling her artwork worldwide, connecting and collaborating with other creative industries and designers, and growing, expanding and learning more about the business of art and how she fits into the art world!
