The annual Bentleys 40 Under 40 Exhibition and Art Prize held at the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre is returning on the 21st of January, back and better than ever with the showcase of 40 of the Sunshine Coast's freshest artists under the age of 40. Also returning are the coveted art prizes, awarded to our region's most promising young artists, thanks to the event's major sponsor, Bentleys Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors.

 

The exhibition is known for creating an exciting and welcoming atmosphere, inclusive to community members who may be first-time gallery visitors. Taking a visit to the town of Cooroy to see what the exhibition has on offer also provides the perfect opportunity for those thinking of adding to their art collection or starting their tenure as a budding art collector, as all art pieces are available for purchase.

 

In the same vein as prior years' sold-out opening events, The Bentleys 40 Under 40 Exhibition Closing Party on the 5th of March will shake the main street of Cooroy, bringing the atmosphere of a mini arts festival to the hinterland town. The 40 Under 40 events ethos is that music and visual arts are one and the same, so we expect to see the usual epic crowd-pleasing performances from local bands, with local food stalls and locally sourced beverages from Wimmers and Land and Sea Brewery keeping audiences, well lubricated and dancing into the night.

 

Those lucky enough to get their hands on a ticket to the famed 40 Under 40 event will undoubtedly have a great time, but for those of us who may miss out, the exhibition opens to the public on the 21st of January 2022 until the 6th of March 2022, make sure to check it out.
