I'm a 22 year old who grew up in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast, having relocated to Brisbane for university studies. I still visit the coast frequently to catch up with mates and get a surf in. Having only studied art in secondary school, I am largely self taught and take great joy in experimenting with different mediums and processes. I dabble in photography, drawing, sculpture and most recently, painting, with a keen interest in text based pieces. Drawing on personal experiences and perspectives on human nature learnt through my health science degree, I am personally interested in the different connections that viewers of my works can make between text and image, which differ from the original context in which I made the works.
